Inner Southeast's excellent Hair of the Dog Brewery has sold out of its very-limited-edition "Dave" barleywine, despite the fact that bottles sell for $2,000 each. NPR reports that Hair of the Dog released just 12 bottles of the 19-year-aged beer in September, which sold out "within a few hours." Says brewer Alan Sprints: "I am proud to say that people who do pay $2,000 a bottle are actually happy with the way it tastes." [NPR via First We Feast]
