DOWNTOWN/PSU—It's the season of Portland restaurant cookbooks, so the PSU location of the farmer's market will host its first-ever "Cookbook Festival" this Saturday, October 12. Authors like John Gorham and Liz Crain (Toro Bravo), Gabe Rucker and Andrew Fortgang (Le Pigeon), and Portland Monthly's Karen Brooks (The Mighty Gastropolis) will be on-hand, and several others will cook up recipes on the demo stage. More information here. [EaterWire]
