Baker Jessie Smith has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund an upcoming brick-and-mortar location for her bakery Rock, Cane, Fat & Grain. Smith's operation, formerly known as "Confectionery," will occupy a historic building in Southeast Portland, with the goal of providing not only gluten-free sweets: According to Smith, the bakery/cafe will also provide a community space for survivors of sexual assault.
