Ohio's Fat Head's Brewery Opening 300-Seat Pearl Pub

New, 1 comment

After many rumors of its possible location, OLCC paperwork reveals the site for Portland's upcoming outpost of the Cleveland-based Fat Head's Brewery — the former Sherman-Clay Piano store on NW 13th Avenue will become home to the nearly 300-seat brewpub, the brewery's first on the west coast.

According to a press release, Fat Head's founder Glenn Benigni and head brewer Matt Cole will bring their beer lineup — including recent GABF 2013 medal-winners Hop JuJu Imperial IPA and a Wet-Hopped Trail Head Pale Ale — in addition to a food menu known for its massive proportions: Sandwiches deemed "Headwiches" are (obviously) named for their relative size, while other pub grub like wings, burgers, and deep-fried pierogies are on offer. Fat Head's PDX plans for a mid-2014 opening; more information as it becomes available.
