The Laughing Planet chainlet has announced major expansion plans coming up for 2014: The Portland Business Journal reports that LP — which currently operates 11 locations in Portland, Corvallis, and Eugene — will debut six additional restaurants as early as next year, including one in downtown Portland and another in Lake Oswego. The expansion plans also call for Laughing Planet's first spots outside Oregon, in Reno and Salt Lake City.
According to the PBJ, the upcoming downtown location will be a grab-and-go spot at SW 14th and Jefferson; the Lake O restaurant is slated for a shopping center on Highway 43, "taking over a formerly public courtyard and turning it into a three-season outdoor patio." The downtown Laughing Planet is slated for a mid-December opening.
