CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL— For those looking for a post-Thanksgiving-meal escape, Mike Shea's Rum Club will be open on Thanksgiving night, from 8p.m. to 1a.m., for post-digestion drinking. Adam Robinson will be behind the bar serving digestif-based cocktails and Fernet Branca specials ($3 for a one-ounce pour; $6 for two). Shea's calling it the annual "Stirred Thanksgiving"; more information (including the full cocktail menu) here. [EaterWire]
CASTING CALLS— Casting directors are actively seeking bars in need of makeovers around Portland for a new Cooking Channel show (that may or may not be this one). Interested bars must be in need of a "gastro makeover" and willing to listen to the argument that "that today's bar food can and should be both delicious and sophisticated." [PF&D]
BROOKLYN— Andy Ricker's New York City outpost of Pok Pok, named Pok Pok Ny, is now officially open in its new digs in Brooklyn, just down the street from the original Pok Pok Ny restaurant. Eater NY reported last week that the new incarnation features a larger dining room and bar, allowing Ricker to expand the menu to "more closely match all the dishes we have available in Portland."
