The Corbett, Oregon coach who plans to take his middle-school football team to a Portland-area Hooters has been fired, but KGW reports that the awards dinner will go down as planned at the popular breastaurant, and that Hooters will pick up the tab on behalf of the coach. Volunteer coach Randall Burbach has drawn significant media attention after his school's athletic director condemned his plan to take the boys to Hooters; Burbach, for his part, refused to change the location of the dinner, which would amount to "allowing myself to be bullied by the vocal minority."
