Oven & Shaker's Guest Pizzas; Remedy's Wine Flights

PEARL DISTRICT— In the spirit of ongoing collaboration, Oven & Shaker has launched a "guest chef" pizza series, with a dollar of each pizza sold benefiting the charity of the chef's choice. The first, a pizza concocted by Lardo/Grassa's Rick Gencarelli, turns Lardo's mortadella sandwich into pizza form: an olive oil, oregano, and garlic base is topped with provolone picante, Mama Lil's peppers, and mortadella (then finished with shredded lettuce and dressing). Proceeds will benefit Ecotrust's Farm to Schools program; the pie is available through the end of November. [EaterWire]

OLD TOWN— Tuesday evenings have been designated "Flight Night" at the Park Blocks wine bar Remedy. Each Tuesday, wine director Dan Beekley will offer two wine flights (at different price points) organized around a specific theme.
