New, 1 comment

E. BURNSIDE— Chef Michael Anthony of NYC's lauded Gramercy Tavern will visit Le Pigeon for a collaborative dinner with Gabriel Rucker on Monday, January 20, 2014. Eat Beat reports the chefs — who both happen to have listicle-topping cookbooks — will offer two separate seatings. Menu details are still under wraps, but reservations are bound to sell out quickly: They're $125 including beverage pairings and available by calling Le Pigeon. [Eat Beat]

WOODSTOCK— The planned Woodstock location of locavore convenience store Green Zebra Grocery has announced it'll move into a larger location than originally planned. The Oregonian reports that founder Lisa Sedler is in negotiations for a lease on SE 52nd and Woodstock, a few blocks away from Green Zebra's originally announced location in the neighborhood. The new spot's projected opening: fall 2014. [OregonLive]

NW/ALPHABET DISTRICT— NW Thurman's Bluebird Bakers will be the host site for a monthly dessert pop-up: Flight Dessert Bar has successfully raised funds via Kickstarter for recurring dessert events in early 2014. According to the pitch, chef Nate Hamilton, an alum of Chicago's acclaimed Spiaggia and London's St. John, is behind the project. More information as it becomes available. [EaterWire]
