Secret's Out

The Mercury takes an in-depth look at Portland's cultishly beloved hot sauce company Secret Aardvark, a story of "some fairly exceptional highs and one devastating low." The story covers the sauce's early incubator days to founder Scott Moritz's tragic death to the company's plans for growth. But Aardvark owner Stacy Moritz does have one plea: If you're a fan of the sauce, please stop stealing it from restaurants. "If there's people out there stealing it, it's absolutely the worst thing that can happen to a small business. People stop carrying it." [Mercury]
