DOWNTOWN— As per annual tradition, Departure chef Gregory Gourdet will offer a special Peking duck dinner throughout the month of December, featuring a whole duck to be consumed at the table family-style. The $82 dinner (which serves two to four) includes the whole duck served with pancakes, traditional garnishes, and a refabbed carcass served as duck fried rice to end the meal. More information here. NORTHEAST/CONCORDIA— The recurring Portland Food Adventures dinner series has set its next event: The interactive, six-course dinner will visit chef Kat LeSueur's NE bistro Cocotte on December 10. As per usual, the $125 reservation includes gift certificates to LeSueur's favorite spots (like Expatriate, Canteen, and Cardinal Club). As part of a "Cyber Monday" special, all reservations made today get a free seat at a follow-up cooking demo/dinner on December 16 (a $75 value, use the code "cyber"). Snag tickets here. [EaterWire]
FEAST UPDATE— The numbers from this year's Feast Portland food festival are out, and the four-day event ultimately raised $52,000 for Partners for a Hunger Free Oregon and Share Our Strength. The Oregonian also reports that next year's fest will feature a new event, a "boozy" Sunday brunch in Pioneer Square. [OregonLive]
