By the new year, chef David Padberg will leave the kitchen he helped set up at downtown's Raven & Rose "to pursue several new projects." According to Padberg, chef Troy Furuta, most recently of ChefStable's downtown experiment Market, will step into the executive chef role. Says Padberg: "I wish [owner] Lisa Mygrant and her team all the best moving forward... Many of the classic menu items will remain at the restaurant as the new chef takes the helm of the kitchen."
In fall 2012, Padberg left his longtime perch at Scott Dolich's Park Kitchen to develop the Raven & Rose menu, influenced by the history of the Ladd Carriage House. According to Padberg, more information about his new projects will be available shortly after the new year. Stay tuned.
