NE Alberta's Cork Wine Shop has announced a "temporary closure" lasting for at least the next six months. Owner Darryl Joannides will close up at the end of business today, December 31, with plans to focus on his label Viola Wines. In the meantime, he plans "a new layout... and perhaps a completely reinvented concept" at the Cork space, "but until I have a chance to step away and truly analyze what that should look like and how best to balance that against the growing needs of the winery, I can't say what the outcome will be."
