Italian Wine Bar, Nonna, Slated for Growing NE Corner

New, 2 comments

Restaurateur Dayna McErlean will soon add another spot to the Concordia corner of NE 30th and Killingsworth, where her restaurants DOC and Yakuza already call home. The Oregonian is first to report that McErlean's new bar, Nonna, will sit adjacent to DOC and "feature a newly built horseshoe bar surrounded on each side by a half-dozen tables and, like DOC, a kitchen in the window facing 30th Avenue." An Eater tipster reports the concept will be a "casual Italian joint/wine bar" to complement DOC's fine-dining menus.

In addition to her restaurants on NW 30th, McErlean also operates St. Johns' mixed-use space the Colony (home to the Kuza burger cart), and Dash, a commissary kitchen in NE. While Nonna plans for an opening "before the end of the month," the O reports that it's not the only new bar to pop up on the corner: Wilder Bar Cafe, a project by Raquel Bournhonesque, softly opened last week. More information about Nonna as it becomes available.
