And now, a look inside Shigezo's new SE Division restaurant, dubbed Yataimura Maru by Shigezo. As promised, the space mimics the look of a food-stall-lined Japanese alleyway, with three separate prep stations/kitchen spaces (demarcated by different colored hanging banners) and their adjacent seating: a 14-seat ramen counter with four large booths, a five-seat sushi bar, and in the back, a small dining room surrounding an open kitchen.
Though aesthetically separated, the entire Shigezo menu is available in all spaces, and it mirrors the downtown outpost closely: Currently, the dinner menu highlights eight noodle options (including the "Tokyo" and broth-less shio abu ramen), hot and cold appetizers (like katsu croquettes, maguro with avocado), meat and veggie curries, and sushi. Maru by Shigezo is open now: Lunch from 11:30a.m. to 2:30p.m., Monday through Friday; Dinner, 5p.m. to 10p.m., Sunday to Thursday; 5p.m. to 11p.m. Friday and Saturday.
