Cue those "cursed space" conversations. Chef Francesco Solda's Carpaccio Trattoria has called it quits after eight months on the difficult corner of NE MLK and Fremont. (The previous two tenants, Belly and Terrior, lasted three years and six months, respectively.) The Oregonian is the first to confirm the long-running rumor (murmurs of Carpaccio's permanent shutter began surfacing in mid-January), noting that as of this afternoon, "a real estate broker was already showing the space to a prospective lessee."

During its brief existence, Carpaccio garnered mixed reviews. No word on Solda's next plans; rumors about those prospective lessees welcome here.
