This year's a big one for Portland cookbooks. Following the recent release dates for the Le Pigeon and Pok Pok books, The Artisan Jewish Deli at Home, the long-stewing cookbook by Kenny and Zuke's co-founder Nick Zukin and local food scribe Michael Zusman, has a drop date: August 13, 2013. Per the publishers, the book features more than 100 recipes for artisan-minded takes on deli classics (home-ovened pastrami; bread, bialys and bagels), including "modern twists on old ideas and innovations to shock your Old Country elders." More information and sneak peeks as they become available. [EaterWire]
