Oven & Shaker Launches Brunch; Abby's Table Take-Out

PEARL DISTRICT—Everybody panic new brunch option in the Pearl: Over the weekend, Cathy Whims' Oven & Shaker quietly launched brunch service with a menu that extends beyond pizza (though yes, there's a duck egg-topped pizza in the mix). Menu options include eggs in purgatory (with spicy tomato sauce and flatbread) and a frittata with potato, mozzarella, pickles, and house-cured ham. CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL—As promised late last year, Buckman-area supperclub Abby's Table has debuted its "Fresh N Go" take-out counter. The new retail area includes a salad bar and a menu featuring soups, changing daily hot entrees (like Thai green curry veggies and rice and Morroccan chicken skewers), and chef Abby Fammartino's sauces, prepackaged to-go. The space has no cafe seating for stay-in diners, but the space will be open for lunch and dinner take-out.
