Make Your Nomination for the Hottest Chef in Portland

New, 26 comments

It's that time again... next week, Eater will begin its annual quest to crown Portland's Hottest Chef, and this year, it's time to shake things up. Instead of the familiar two-week-long competition of years past, 2013's Hottest Chef Competition will see all voting take place during one action-packed day of hotness. The date? February 14, henceforth known as Hottest Chef Day.

But first, we need your help. To prepare the tournament seeds, send in your nomination for the Hottest Chef in Portland to the tipline — along with a photograph (or link to a photo) proving their hotness. (Only chefs with nomination photos will be considered.) And one more disclaimer: Only restaurant chefs currently working in the industry are allowed, and the previous year's winner (shoutout to Gregory Gourdet of Departure, pictured above) is not permitted to enter.

Nominations are due one week from today, Monday, February 11, after which they will be culled and seeded. Then, on Valentine's Day proper, let the games begin.
