Over at the Oregonian, restaurant reporter/critic Michael Russell responds to John Gorham's recent Zester Daily editorial, in which the chef criticizes restaurant awards, arbitrary listicles, and Eater's own Hottest Chef contest. Though Russell writes, "I'll grant that 'Hottest Chef' competitions are silly," he does have one suggestion: "When voting begins on Eater PDX's 'Hottest Chef' competition next week, let's vote in Gorham as the winner. I've already made the nomination. Can I get a second?" Nominations, btw, will be accepted through Monday. [OregonLive]
