DOWNTOWN—Chef David Padberg will bring casual Sundays to downtown's Raven & Rose with the launch of a weekly "Sunday roast," kicking off this weekend (Easter Sunday). Each week, the spot will offer a different family-style menu, featuring a rotating roast (carved for the table), potatoes, and a choice of side. The Sunday-only dinner costs $25 per person, with reservations available starting at 4p.m. (and yes, the regular a la carte menu is also still available on Sundays). [EaterWire]
CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL—SE Hawthorne's Fresh Pot will celebrate its 16th anniversary next week, and coffee blog Sprudge sits down with co-founder Skip Colombo to chat about the auspicious occasion, including how the FP became one of Stumptown's first-ever wholesale clients back in 1999 (Columbo is now senior account manager at Stumptown Coffee). Also, Sprudge brings details of Fresh Pot's upcoming anniversary party, scheduled for April 4 at Holocene. [Sprudge]
