Adventures in Drinking

If you happened to give up alcohol for Lent, consider this a divine (or sinful) intervention: the 19th-annual Spring Beer and Wine Fest, which brings more than 40 breweries to the Oregon Convention Center, throws its grand indoor tasting this Friday and Saturday (March 29 and 30). Local favorites like Breakside, Gigantic, and Hopworks will pour alongside breweries like Washington's Walking Man and California's Firestone Walker. For those with beer-only Lent sacrifices, 20 wineries and nine distilleries will offer tastes. Packages start at $20 for entry and eight tasting tokens. More information here. [EaterWire]
