It's official: Wine will soon be available by the growler. Yesterday, the Oregon State Senate unanimously passed the "wine growler bill" — which makes it legal for grocery stores and restaurants to fill up growlers (the container normally associated with purchasing beer to-go) with wine from taps. Governor John Kitzhaber is expected to sign the bill into law; once signed, it will take effect immediately. [KATU]
