In this week's event-planning EaterWire:
NORTHEAST—In keeping with its dedication to seasonal Italian cooking and carefully chosen wines, Northeast's DOC will welcome Elisabetta Foradori from Northern Italy's Foradori Wines for a dinner on March 9. Starting at 5p.m., a procession of eight wines and six inspired courses will unfold. Silvio Messana from Montesecondo Wines will also be there to present a Chianti Classico from the namesake Italian region. For one of the $120 reservations, call the restaurant at 503-946-8592.
CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL—Culinary power couple and cooking teachers Caprial and John Pence will forgo their usual pedagogical positions to cook dinner for the duck-hungry on March 9. This four-courser stars the food world's favorite waterfowl in dishes like crispy duck confit with braised lentils and orange crema, as well as Brussels sprouts and potato salad with duck cracklings and sherry Dijon dressing. For one of the Supper Club's $60 reservations, call Caprial and John's office line at 503-239-8771.
CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL—Ramen joint Boke Bowl will invade Division's SE Wine Collective on March 11, marking the first time local wineries Vincent Wine Company, Helioterra Wines and Division Winemaking Company will pair their wines with Asian fare. Starting at 6:30p.m., this four-course meal gives diners the opportunity to chat with Boke chef Patrick Fleming and the winemakers about the pairings (among which are pork cheek confit with rice tots, Vincent Wine miso sauce and shaved bottarga).
