PEARL DISTRICT—After last week's fire that sent bartender Steve Grimm to the hospital, the Pearl's tony Bluehour announced it will donate 100 percent of proceeds from Grimm's signature drink — the "Mariachi" — directly to Grimm's recovery. The benefit cocktail (featuring tequila, lemon juice, agave, absinthe, and orange flower water) will be available the entire month of April. Meanwhile, nearby spot Riffle NW has also pledged 100 percent of proceeds from any cocktail on the menu featuring Dogwood Distilling's DL Franklin Vodka. [EaterWire]
PDX—Local chain Burgerville will open its 40th area location at the Portland International Airport. Per a press release, the outpost will open this winter inside the airport's "Oregon Market," the Concourse Connector before security. Says CEO Jeff Harvey in a canned statement: "We look forward to engaging PDX travelers and employees to co-design this new restaurant with us in the coming months." [EaterWire]
SOUTHEAST—With a brick-and-mortar restaurant in the works, Off the Griddle owners Ashley Arthur and Dan Harding have announced the permanent closure and sale of the vegetarian/vegan food cart. Per Facebook, the cart sale will help finance the upcoming restaurant; in the meantime, the duo's A.N.D. Cafe remains open as usual. [EaterWire]
