EVERYWHERE—Bartender-about-town Lydia Reissmueller (famously an alum of New York City's PDT and Portland's Central) has a different beverage company in mind with her latest project. Reissmueller has turned to Kickstarter to launch Well Co. Juice, a cold-pressed juice company. According to the Kickstarter video, the company will create hydraulically pressed juice and distribute glass bottles through a "closed cycle" system — subscribers can pick up their juice at "filling stations" around Portland and bring back empty bottle for re-use. CLACKAMAS—Clackamas recently welcomed a New Haven-inspired pizza joint "inspired by Portland hot spots Apizza Scholls and Ken's Artisan Pizza." The Oregonian reports that Pronto Pizza, a venture by a former MIX magazine design director, debuted earlier this year at 16050 SE 82nd Drive. The spot features consulting chef Chris Whaley, a veteran pizzaiolo from the Bay Area, whipping up pizzas using a "Neopolitan approach." [OregonLive]
