In great news for open-air boozers, the Oregon Liquor Control Commission has rejected a City of Portland attempt to close outdoor drinking patios at 10p.m. nightly. WWeek reports that the OLCC voted not to install any new rules, meaning drinkers can sit outside on bar patios until 2:30a.m. But the mayor's office promises to keep pushing for additional regulation: the "city will keep pushing for the right to set its own hours for outdoor drinking."
