The Feast Portland countdown officially starts now. The second installment of the now-annual PDX food festival is still five months away — its slated for September 19 through 22 — but Oregonian brings first word of some key lineup names. According to festival organizers Mike Thelin and Carrie Welch, Mission Chinese Food's Danny Bowien will make an appearance, as well as Chicago's Stephanie Izard (of the Girl and the Goat) and NYC's Andrew Carmellini (of the Dutch and the recently-opened Lafayette) and April Bloomfield (the Spotted Pig).
According to the O, 2012's major events — a Sandwich Invitational, Asian-inspired Night Market, and comfort-food-focused "High Comfort" — will return. Also part of the plan: increased satellite events and pop-ups.
