Seattle-based chain MOD Pizza announced that it'll open its first store outside Washington state — in Beaverton's Cedar Hills Crossing shopping center. Construction is currently underway for a 2,850-square-foot MOD Pizza, which offers individual-sized thin-crust pizzas "made on demand." The first Oregon location of MOD is scheduled to open in fall of 2013; according to a release, "plans are in place to expand throughout Portland." [EaterWire]
