The Honey Pot Cart Opening Brick-and-Mortar Bakery

Sweet and savory pie cart the Honey Pot is moving into brick-and-mortar digs. Co-owner Mary Casanave Sheridan says the new storefront will open on N. Mississippi (in the former Emerald Petals florist shop), offering the cart's familiar lineup of pies, a full espresso bar and an expanded breakfast and pastry menu. The Honey Pot's SE Belmont cart, in the Good Food Here pod, will remain open, and addition to the brick-and-mortar bakery, the Honey Pot will also launch a mobile food truck specializing in catering and events. "The new storefront will allow us to expand catering, serve our Portland and N. Portland community and our loyal customers at our Belmont food truck," Sheridan says.

Sheridan originally opened the Honey Pot in Bend, Oregon in 2010, moving to Portland's Good Food Here pod in March 2012. The brick and mortar's projected opening: July 2013.
