It's been on the market for quite a while, and now, the party's officially over at N. Interstate's Gotham Tavern, the onetime stomping ground of chefs Tommy Habetz, Naomi Pomeroy, and Gabriel Rucker. The Oregonian is the first to spot the restaurant's Facebook announcement:
"To our valued customers, the Gotham tavern will close May 26th, 2013. We thank you for your loyalty and support over the last six years. We will miss all of you very much. You more than anyone made the Gotham what it is. Again, thank you. Love you all."
The first incarnation of the Gotham Tavern, as part of Pomeroy and partner Michael Hebb's Ripe empire, famously shuttered in 2006 — but not before producing an roster of alumni including Habetz, Rucker, and the Woodsman Tavern's Jason Barwikowski. The restaurant/bar had changed hands several times since.
