Just two months after opening, the Southwestern-inspired Hatch — a family-style restaurant by the folks behind the uber-popular Killer Burger — has closed, and will soon be replaced by a Killer Burger & Bar. According to a Facebook announcement, the space is currently being remodeled to accommodate the transition, which was influenced by the "first love" of owners Mark McCrary and TJ Southard: "[Hatch] took us away from our first love (Killer Burger) for too long. We need to get back where our hearts are."
The location will be KB's first in downtown Portland, and the first with a full bar. Killer Burger currently operates four locations, in Sellwood, Hollywood, Vancouver, and Bingen, Washington. More information as it becomes available.
