In recent months, two Oregon bakeries made waves by turning away couples seeking same-sex wedding cakes; in the separate incidents, both bakeries cited religious beliefs for their refusal. So the folks at WWeek called both shops — Gresham's Sweet Cakes by Melissa and Hood River's Fleur Cakes — to see if proprietors would be willing to provide the sweet goods for "other occasions frowned upon by some Christians."
