Water Avenue Coffee Goes Mobile; PDX Bubbles Week

CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL—The eastside's Water Avenue Coffee has finally launched its roaming mobile coffee truck, which will serve espresso, iced coffee, and baked goods out of a refurbished 1973 Chevy Step van. The truck will kick things off at this weekend's St. Johns parade, with plans to soon launch the "WAC VAN mobile series," a regular coffee route and events schedule. More information here. EVERYWHERE—Dundee's Argyle Winery has officially declared this week "PDX Bubbles Week," offering a week's worth of tastings and special events around town. Starting today (Monday, May 6) at Pix Patisserie, the winery will be on-hand for Brut tastings at restaurants ranging from the Bent Brick to Higgins to the Cartopia cart pod (where pairing recommendations will also be available). On Friday and Saturday, Bluehour will offer a special caviar and Champagne pairing, while Salt & Straw is featuring a special Brut-flavored ice cream all week long.
