After 18 years in business, SW Capitol Highway's Three Square Grill is closing. The Oregonian reports that the spot will permanently shutter after Mother's Day brunch service this Sunday, May 12. Owner David Barber will shift focus to his wholesale pickle business Picklopolis, planning to launch a proper pickle retail shop later this year. Barber tells the O:
After 18 years in front of the stoves at Three Square, I've decided to close to focus on our other venture, Picklopolis (the Kingdom of the Brine). We have increased our wholesale business substantially and are planning on opening a storefront later this year.
No word yet on a Picklopolis brick-and-mortar location, or what will take over the Three Square space. More as it becomes available.
