DIVISION/CLINTON—Fresh off his recent Oregonian accolades, chef Trent Pierce will bring his backroom restaurant Roe to the SE Wine Collective for a four-course pairing dinner tomorrow (Wednesday, June 26). In the spot's collaborative spirit, the seafood courses will be paired with different member wineries — including Belle Pente, Helioterra, and Division. Reservations are $90 and available here. NORTHEAST—Is Broder opening a second restaurant in Northeast Portland? The Oregonian and WWeek both spotted an OLCC application filed by owner Peter Bro, for the former Gotham Tavern space on N. Interstate. Bro tells Eater that as of now, nothing is official, but that "we are looking at the space." Updates as they become available. [EaterWire]
DOWNTOWN—The iconic Swamp Shack cart shuttered earlier this spring, and Food Carts Portland brings word that a new concept has popped up in its place. The new Left Coast cart, owned by John Sturm, left the cart's aesthetics mostly untouched, offering "all-American diner" options like a shrimp po'boy, fried chicken sandwich, and chorizo burger.
