Solid Westmoreland Thai restaurant Manao Thai will soon permanently close after nearly two years in business, the Oregonian's Michael Russell reports. The restaurant debuted in September 2011 as the first solo project by Pok Pok and Ping alum Ekkachai Sakkayasukkalawon (better known as "Chef Chew"); Sakkayasukkalawon served up Northern Thai dishes and a take on chicken wings deemed a worthy alternative to those at the Pok Pok mothership.
Per the O, no official closing date has been announced yet, but the restaurant could "close for good as soon as this week."
