As previously reported here, the long dormant, much missed "Healthy Mexican" restaurant Macheezmo Mouse is on the verge of a comeback: The 1980's-'90s-era chain is set to re-launch in the Beaverton area early next year. The plans to revive the original, decade-long dead mouse (not counting the efforts that used the same name but not the same product) was unveiled at an Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign launch party Wednesday night upstairs at Brasserie Montmartre.

The invitation-only meet-and-greet party was a chance to meet the new President — and former employee of Macheezmo — Jeff Burlingame. The party was also an opportunity for the new MM'ers to provide all the current details on the size and scope of the project (one of the biggest makeovers will be the addition of a cocktail bar), the proposed location (a former Hollywood Video located in Beaverton Town Square) and other inside information about the new menu, the old menu, and of course, the beloved Boss Sauce, a tangy chili-and-citrus infused condiment that was served on almost everything and was sampled at the party.

The original incarnation of the Macheezmo Mouse chain shuttered in 2003. Burlingame indicated the funding campaign's goal: $87,900.
