Cart Talk

porkchopcity160a.jpgBeaverton may be a step closer to welcoming food cart pods. The Oregonian reports that the city planning commission okayed a plan to revisit cart regulations in the city, which currently prohibit cart pods and limit carts' opening hours to seven per day. According to Pork Chop City owner Roger Williams, who moved his cart from Beaverton to Portland due to the time limit, staying open past allotted hours — to catch both the lunch and dinner crowds — resulted in $2,500 in fines over eight months.
