Apparently, the NYTimes is not sick of us yet. A glowing, if not mildly gushing, article was published yesterday in their Travel Section featuring some of Portland's best restaurants. Ava Genes, Ox, Roe and the slightly still under the radar Smallwares, were given generous words of praise and descriptive metaphors reminiscent of Karen Brooks (who happened to be the reviewer's dining companion). "Fire-licked petrale sole was served bone-in, its skin crackling, with a slick of capered butter sauce to bring out the lustiness of the mild fish." Visit the article here for more. [NY Times Travel]
