Sugar Mama's Cafe Finally Reopens on SW Alder

After temporarily closing in August 2012 to move from its tiny shop on SW 13th Avenue, and after several construction delays that saw its projected opening shift from February 2013 to July 1, downtown breakfast favorite Sugar Mamas' Cafe has finally opened the doors at its new location earlier this week. The new restaurant takes over the former La Fonda space on SW Alder, expanding the cafe size to 50 seats with a full bar. The menu, however, remains largely familiar: bacon maple cinnamon rolls, biscuits-and-gravy, and stuffed has browns.

Sugar Mamas' is open now. Hours of operation: 7a.m. to 3p.m., daily.
