A beloved Seattle food truck is making a permanent move to Portland — but without the James Beard-winning chef that founded it. Grilled cheese cart Monte Cristo announced the impending move yesterday, saying they've received an offer to exclusively serve a Portland-area tech company. But the cart — co-owned by the Bon Appetit management company — confirms that founder Danielle Custer is staying put in Seattle, and just the truck concept will make the trek to PDX, sans chef.
