Salt harvester Ben Jacobsen (of Jacobsen Salt Co.) recently purchased a salt-making facility near the Oregon coast, and he's now launching a guest chef dinner series, with some big-name chefs cooking up one-off events in Tillamook. The series kicks off on August 17 with a dinner featuring St. Jack's Aaron Barnett and Alissa Rozos; other events will see SF chef Chris Consentino (on Wednesday, September 18) and Ava Gene's chef Joshua McFadden stopping in for a four-course dinner and facility tour.
