Chef John Gorham's upcoming cookbook Toro Bravo: Stories. Recipes. No Bull. will hit bookshelves on October 21, and Eater National gets a sneak peek of the book today. In addition to recipes for Gorham's familiar take on tapas and charcuterie, the book — co-written by Liz Crain — features origin stories, tattoo spreads, and something possibly of interest for local thieves: One section in the back of No Bull offers rewards for art that's been stolen from the restaurant over the years — Gorham promises dinner for four to anyone who returns a framed Ferdinand illustration stolen off the bathroom wall a "few years ago." Writes Gorham: "At one point I even hired a private detective to look into it — no joke — but he couldn't manage to find anything."
Toro Bravo, published by McSweeney's, is now available for pre-order on Amazon here.
