IT'S A MYSTERY—The Oregonian hosted an afternoon "online chat" about its recent Top 10 Barbecue Restaurants story, and during the discussion, the question of "worst" local BBQ joints came up. Critic Michael Russell wouldn't name names, but did allude to two disappointing meals. So, blind item time! Which spots were Russell talking about here: 1) "there was a Southeast Portland joint — a spot that people are still bugging me about for not including— that was incredibly bad" and 2) "one downtown cart (a spot that has gotten some recent press) had 'pressure-smoked meat, textureless ribs and brisket more pureed than chopped, then doused in a sweet tomato sauce'"?
