A Kickstarter campaign by North Portland's Homebrew Exchange — which was collecting funds to open a community brewpub, taproom, and bottle shop — just ended with founders falling a painful $243 short of its fundraising goal. The close call was picked up by Business Insider, which calls the campaign "botched" with an important end lesson: "Choose a realistic, obtainable goal. And maybe have someone standing by with a laptop and credit card at the end." [BI via @NewSchoolBeer]
