Portland Food Adventure at St. Jack; Kir's Final Week

New, 7 comments

DIVISION/CLINTON—In what's being dubbed a "preview" to the annual Wild About Game cook-off, St. Jack chef Aaron Barnett plays host to the next installment of the Portland Food Adventures dinner series next Tuesday, August 20. The dinner takes place in the usual PFA style — six course with wine pairings, plus gift certificates to the chef's favorite spots — but with an all-game theme (culminating in a final savory course of water buffalo, marrow, pommes purée, and cippolini aigre-doux). Reservations are $125, all-inclusive, and includes gift cards to Tails & Trotters, Sheridan Fruit Company, and Grassa. [EaterWire]

E. BURNSIDE—Just a friendly reminder that Kir Wine Bar will officially close up shop this Saturday, August 17, and owner Amalie Roberts says that a farewell party will take place between 5-8p.m., featuring free snacks and a croquembouche crafted by Kristen D. Murray. [EaterWire]

ARBITRARY LISTAGE—Two Portland spots have landed on a new listicle by the Bourbon Review: Both Pope House Bourbon Lounge and Produce Row get props for making a list of "America's 55 Best Bourbon Bars." [Bourbon Review]
