Dan Hart, the owner of N. Mississippi's German beer bar Prost, is opening a new bar in Northeast. The Oregonian's Michael Russell reports that Hart just signed a lease for the space currently home to Alyssa Gregg's three-and-a-half-year-old Spints Alehouse, with plans to open Stammtisch, an 18-tap German beer bar, later this fall. Per the O, Stammtisch will be "a sister bar to Prost with more (and rarer) imported German beer, more tasty schnapps and a fuller menu of German bierstube classics."
There's no word yet on the status of Spints, but Stammtish's projected opening: November. More information as it becomes available.
