1) Old Town: More late-night dining options have arrived in the SW alleyway: Alberta food cart Stumptown Dumplings has opened a storefront location on SW Ankeny Street, across the street from the Harlem nightclub (and around the corner from Voodoo Doughnut). The menu is the same as the cart location, with three varieties of dumplings (chicken, pork, veggie) and four kinds of steamed bao (two savory, two sweet — and two vegan). Stumpling's SW hours of operation: 5p.m. to 2a.m., Monday through Friday; 11:30a.m. to 2a.m., Saturday and Sunday. [EaterWire]
2) Foster-Powell: Community blog FoPoPDX reports that Nayar Taqueria has debuted in the SE Foster space once home to Ma Tona's Restaurant. The counter-service spot offers a menu of tacos, burritos, and tortas (with a separate menu section for vegetarian options); a "specialties" section offers prawn ceviche, enchiladas de mole, and tamales. Hours of operation: 11a.m. to 9p.m., daily. More information here. [FoPo via Portlandfood.org]
3) Southwest: The SW Corbett location of Elephants Delicatessen is now open. Notably, it's the first Elephants location to serve weekend brunch, with a menu offering Dutch babies, breakfast burritos, frittatas, and a vegetarian "hangover hash." Brunch is available at the grill from 8a.m. to noon on weekends; regular hours of operation are 8a.m. to 8p.m. [EaterWire]
