CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL—More than 40 breweries will lighten up this weekend during the first-annual LagerFest, a two-day lager celebration taking place at the White Owl Social Club. Breweries ranging from Base Camp to Heater Allen to Pfriem will pour samples; Eastside Deli and White Owl Social Club provide food to help wash it all down. The $20 one-day admission fee (tickets available here) includes 10 beer tastes. [EaterWire]

The Portland Business Journal reports that an auction of the Tavern's contents is set for Monday, and the building's new owners plan to demolish the site to erect an apartment building. [PBJ]
