CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL—More than 40 breweries will lighten up this weekend during the first-annual LagerFest, a two-day lager celebration taking place at the White Owl Social Club. Breweries ranging from Base Camp to Heater Allen to Pfriem will pour samples; Eastside Deli and White Owl Social Club provide food to help wash it all down. SELLWOOD/MORELAND—After receiving a brief reprieve that pushed its last day in business past original projections of the end of June, Sellwood dive bar Black Cat Tavern permanently closed last week. The Portland Business Journal reports that an auction of the Tavern's contents is set for Monday, and the building's new owners plan to demolish the site to erect an apartment building. [PBJ]
